This Privacy Policy describes how and when personal information is collected, used, disclosed and protected when you visit WittySoul.com (the “Site”) or buy Witty Soul products through our Etsy shop.

Witty Soul is a brand of My Extra Umbrella, which operates the Site and the Witty Soul Etsy shop. In this policy, “we,” “us” and “our” refer to My Extra Umbrella and Witty Soul.

The short version

• You can browse the Site without giving us any personal information.
• The Site has no accounts, no sign-up forms, no advertising or analytics trackers, and sets no cookies of its own.
• Purchases are completed on Etsy, not on this Site. Etsy’s privacy policy applies to your order and payment.
• We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, our hosting and content-delivery providers automatically process technical information needed to deliver and protect it, such as:

• Your Internet Protocol (IP) address and approximate location
• Browser, device and operating system
• The page requested, the referring page, and the time of the request
• Security, error and performance information

Hosting and security. The Site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes this information to deliver the Site, keep it secure, and prevent abuse. Cloudflare may set cookies that are strictly necessary for security, such as bot protection; these cannot be switched off without affecting how the Site works.

Product photos and videos. Some product photos and videos are displayed directly from Etsy’s image and video servers. When your browser loads them, Etsy receives the technical information your browser normally sends, such as your IP address and browser type.

We use this technical information only to operate, secure and improve the Site.

Purchases through Etsy

Product pages on the Site link to our Etsy shop (https://wittysoul.etsy.com/), where you choose options, pay and receive order updates. Etsy collects and processes your account, payment and order information under its own privacy policy. We never receive your full payment card details.

When you order, Etsy provides us, as the seller, with the information needed to fulfill and support your order, including:

• Your name and shipping address
• The items you ordered and any personalization you entered
• Messages you send us through Etsy

For made-to-order physical items, we share the details needed to make and ship your order (such as your name, shipping address and the item ordered) with our print-on-demand production partners, such as Printify, and their printing and shipping providers.

We use order information to fulfill your order, respond to your questions, handle problems with an order, keep required business and tax records, and prevent fraud. We do not add buyers to a mailing list.

Information you send us

If you contact us by email or through Etsy messages, we receive your name, contact details and anything you include in your message. We use it to respond and keep a record of the conversation.

How we share information

We disclose personal information only to service providers that help us run the Site and fulfill orders, including:

• Cloudflare, for hosting, delivery and security
• Etsy, which operates the shop, checkout and order messaging
• Print-on-demand production and shipping partners, such as Printify, to make and deliver physical orders
• Professional advisers, such as accountants, when reasonably necessary

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, investigate fraud or security concerns, protect our rights, property or safety, establish or defend legal claims, or complete a merger, sale, reorganization or transfer of the business.

No sale or behavioral advertising

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that ever changes, for example if we add an advertising or analytics tag to the Site, we will update this policy and provide any required choices before the new practice begins.

External links

The Site links to other websites, including Etsy, Pinterest and other social-media platforms. We do not control those websites. When you follow an external link, that website’s own privacy policy and terms apply.

International processing

We and several of our service providers are based in the United States. Personal information may be processed in the United States or in other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws from where you live. Where required, we rely on contractual or other legally recognized safeguards.

Data retention

We keep order and correspondence records for as long as needed to fulfill orders, provide support, and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. Technical and security records are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes in this policy, according to our providers’ standard retention.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Ask whether we process personal information about you, and request access to it
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of certain information
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Request a portable copy of certain information
• Opt out of certain disclosures or uses
• Lodge a complaint with a privacy authority

To make a request, email Info@WittySoul.com and tell us the shop (Witty Soul) and the name or Etsy order connected with your request. We may need to verify your identity before completing it. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. Requests about your Etsy account itself should be made to Etsy.

California privacy information

We may collect these general categories of personal information: identifiers (such as name, email address and shipping address); commercial information (such as items ordered); internet or electronic activity information; approximate location derived from an IP address; and communications you send us. We collect and disclose this information for the purposes and to the service-provider categories described above. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Browser privacy signals

Because there is no accepted standard for “Do Not Track,” the Site does not respond differently to that signal. Where applicable law requires us to recognize a valid opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, we will honor it. Because we do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, such a signal generally will not change our current practices.

Children’s privacy

This website is intended for an adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or from a child below a higher age where local law requires parental consent. We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No website, email transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
